Essential Questions:
1. Why do you think people put pictures online for people to see?
I think people put pictures online just so they can become much more famous and they want their friends and relatives to see him/her.
2. What type of guidelines do you think young adults should follow about posting pictures online?
When young adults are posting pictures online, I think they should think about how everyone on the internet can see the pictures they posted.

After the Lesson Questions:
1. Why do you think people put pictures online for people to see?
I think people post pictures online to show off and be cool and want the others to view them that way. The people would also want to be popular both online and/or offline.


2. What type of guidelines do you think young adults should follow about posting pictures online?
The young adults should think if the photo they post is appropriate for all people to see before posting; if it is a no, don't post the picture. The picture can cause serious troubles towards the person who posted the photo.




Questions:
  1. On social network sites, how do you decide which picture should be your profile picture? What do you think makes a “perfect” profile picture? Answer: I decide my profile picture by looking at which has the best background and it must contain things that I like. The "perfect" profile photo is to use some things other than the owner of the profile.
  2. Who sets the standards for what is considered a “good” profile picture? Where do these standards, or ideas, come from? Answer:The owner of the profile sets the standard for what is a "good" profile picture. These ideas come from all the friends and people around the owner.
  3. What would happen if you posted a profile picture and you didn’t receive any “Likes” or comments on it? What would be going through your mind? What would you do? Answer: If I posted a profile picture and didn't receive anything, I would be kind of mad. I would think what picture for my profile picture would get "likes" and then change it to that.
  4. Do people create online images of themselves? Do they try to look, act, or be viewed in certain ways? Why or why not? Answer:People create their online image themselves. They want to be viewed in a certain way because no one want themselves to be viewed in a bad way.
  5. Are girls known for posting certain kinds of photos or albums? If so, what kinds? Why do you think that is? Answer: Yes, I think they post photos on things they got from shopping because most girls love shopping and then post what they bought online.
  6. Are there certain ideas, or social messages, that influence the kinds of photos that girls typically post? How might these attitudes affect the kinds of photo comments girls post amongst themselves? Answer: The idea that influence them is that other people put what they bought and show off. This make them don't want to feel like at the bottom of something.
  7. Are boys known for posting certain kinds of photos or albums? If so, what kinds? Why do you think that is? Answer: Boys are known for posting photos on sports and/or things that are funny.
  8. Are there certain ideas, or social messages, that influence the kinds of photos that boys typically post? How might these attitudes affect the kinds of photo comments boys post amongst themselves? Answer: There aren't any ideas that influences the kind of photos a boy post.

Summary on the video: Girls use social media much more often than guys. They view the social media sites as a place to show off to their friends. Girls post pictures only when they think their picture is very great, but others doesn't have to like it. Girls have a lot of stress because they have to keep their online popularity high. But on the other hand, guys use social media less than girls, they don't normally get stress even when they didn't get enough likes or comments. Guys usually post photos on what they did and/or photos that are funny; unlike girls which care about their online popularity a lot. They online gender balance in social media is not balanced.
